Judaized Christianity is Christianity that still wants to keep enforcing some of the old Jewish laws.

Jesus came to fulfill the Law, and those seeking to live by the law must die.

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did:

sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us,

who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh,

but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,

because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,

and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.

But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—

for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die;

but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Romans 8:1-14

Behold I, Paul, say to you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you.

And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law.

You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.

Galatians 5:2-6

For you were called to freedom, brethren;

only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Galatians 5:13-14

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.

For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

Galatians 5:16-18

The thing is, if we really have the love of God in us, the things that please Him will start to flow out.

The law of God is written on our hearts, and will direct us in His way, if we’ve truly been reborn.

Nothing that pleases God should have to be enforced by Man or the Law in a true believer. That’s the Holy Spirit’s job.

Those who are truly saved have an internal regulator. They don’t need men to make up lots of rules for them so that they “stay in line”.

I’m not saying there’s never a place for rebuke or challenge. Some such moments are appointed by God.

But our goal should not be to regulate externals – in ourselves or others – but rather to know Christ on the inside, that the outside of the cup may become clean also.

The Great Shepherd Himself does that, and more effectively than any man ever could.

Now therefore why do you put God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are.”

Acts 15:10-11

Who Were the Judaizers?

Judaized Christianity is closely tied in with religious Christianity and works-based Christianity.

  2. Excellent article. Thanks for sharing this biblically founded message. I believe this Messianic Judeo approach to faith will have a devastating impact on the direction of Christianity…
